Spooky Popcorn - Outdoor Horror Films in Downtown Hartford

Spooky Popcorn is a FREE outdoor horror movie festival held annually in downtown Hartford throughout the summer.

Horror movie fans can enjoy outdoor showings by the clock tower on Constitution Plaza on 8pm Saturday evenings from July through end of August!

New in 2025: Each screening will also feature special vendors and horror-themed contests with grotesquely fabulous prizes.

All movie-goers are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs. Outside food and beverages are also welcome.

Note: in case of rain cancellation, the film will be moved to the next Sunday (day after) 

Admission: FREE!
Children aged 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

In September, return to downtown Hartford to experience The Bizarre Bazaar - an artisan craft fair filled with seasonally-inspired spooky wares! The fair will host live music, local artists, crafters, and will feature connoisseurs of creepiness.

These events are free and open to the public.
