Mummies and deadies, boos and ghouls! Creep over to Newport for tricks, treats, games, and activities for the whole family!
Each year downtown Newport crawls with hundreds of witches, vampires, and monsters on Halloween. Main Street businesses and organizations see as many as 750 trick-or-treaters in a few hours! With their support and participation, we have a safe place for our kids to participate in a favorite Halloween tradition.
Get ready for Pumpkin Palooza in Pomerleau Park!!
Come and get a free pumpkin and enter the Jack-O'-Lantern contest.
Pumpkin pick up will offered 1 week prior at Gardner Park. You will have one week to bring your jack-o-lantern creation to life, judging will be in 5 categories: ages 5 and under, ages 6-12, ages 13-17, adults, and businesses, prizes for each category will be given after judging (we will contact winners after the weekend).
Trick or treating down main street will be from 1pm-2:30, at 2:30 if you would like to join the costume promenade starting at the Parklet next to the municipal building down the board walk back to Pomerleau Park.
3:00pm at Pomerleau Park, prizes on the best costume will be announce as well as the pumpkin winners.
Bring your trick or treating bags and wear your costumes to do trick or treating up main street at participating downtown businesses from 1-3pm!
