"Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" (1974) Outdoor Film Screening

Join the Loring Greenough House this summer for a series of outdoor movies shown on the lawn!

Hollywood’s grand dames Bette Davis and Joan Crawford went head to head both on screen and in real life as they redefined sick sibling rivalry in this black and white, high-camp, horror-classic from 1962, based on the 1960s novel of the same name. The once famous actresses are ageing alone together in their decaying, dimly lit Los Angeles mansion, with the sadistic and delusional former child star ‘Baby Jane’ playing psychological games on her now paraplegic sister. It invented the ‘psycho-biddy’ genre, with ‘Baby Jane’ now a by-word for ‘deranged showbiz crone’.

No official rating but probably close to Rated R.

No seating provided so BYOB… bring your own blankets! or chairs. Seating is first come, first served and any chairs will be positioned in the back of the audience.

All movies will feature English subtitles for the benefit of the deaf or hard of hearing.

Admission:
$5 for adult LGH members, $7 for adult non-members,
$3 for children age 3-12,
Free for children under age 3y.
