In 1991, Spooky World opened in Berlin, Massachusetts as the first Halloween scream park. The attraction became so popular that it expanded well beyond its original haunted hayride and shaped a generation of New England Halloween lovers. Join David Bertolino, the man who started it all, and Jeff DePaoli, Host of "That Halloween Podcast", to hear how an idea became a Halloween institution in Massachusetts.

Spooky World first opened its doors in Berlin, Massachusetts back in 1991. The original horror scream park featured haunted houses, sideshow attractions, celebrities and a notorious haunted hayride. The park was soon after deemed New England's largest and most terrifying horror scream park, becoming a household name. Seven years later, Spooky World moved its location to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts. In addition to Spooky World's terrifying and original hayride and haunted house creations, the scream park caught the eyes of Hollywood. Throughout the years, special guests to visit Spooky World included Cassandra Peterson as Elvira, Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger), Kane Hodder (Jason Vorhees), and musician Tiny Tim even got married live on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" at Spooky World.
