Disaffected teen Donnie (Gyllenhaal) is just not doing well. His well-meaning parents are confounded, his sisters are annoyed, and his therapist thinks he’s schizophrenic… but when Donnie meets Frank—a 6-foot-tall demonic bunny, everything changes. Frank shares with Donnie that the world will end on Halloween night and asks him if he believes in time travel. As Donnie, his family, and his new girlfriend (Malone) unknowingly head towards a tragic climax, the possibility for sacrifice and salvation begins to take shape.
