After three sold-out seasons at Georgia's Serenbe Playhouse, Old Sturbridge Village has joined forces with producer/director Brian Clowdus to bring The Sleepy Hollow Experience to Old Sturbridge Village this October. Recognized as one of the country's top five Halloween plays by American Theatre Magazine, The Sleepy Hollow Experience is an immersive, outdoor theatrical experience that reimagines Washington Irving's iconic 1820's tale.
At The Sleepy Hollow Experience, guests will be ghoulishly guided through the Village's countryside where they will encounter Ichabod Crane, Katrina Van Tassel, Brom Bones and quite possibly the Headless Horseman. Please note that each outdoor performance is 1.5 hours long and requires standing and walking. Performances are rain or shine. If the evening is a washout, a modified version of The Sleepy Hollow Experience will take place in Old Sturbridge Village's Brewer Theater.
Food add-on: An 90 minutes before each performance, guests are invited to join us at Ichabod's Tavern for libations, chow, snacks, and sweets. A beef stew, butternut squash bisque or New England Clam Chowder meal may be purchased online in advance or at Ichabod's Tavern the night of your performance. The Tavern opens at 6:00 pm for 7:30 pm performances and 8:00 pm for 9:30 pm performances.
